Sand Dollars Anyone?

This took only a few minutes to collect. We had many casualties in the process, especially the little ones. Collected in the Blue Hole Cove.

Sand Dollars Painted

Still working out techniques. A few I painted using water color, and acrylics.

One Glass Float Day

Chris found this back in the bush, near Morrisville. The ship in the background sunk around six years ago.
The glass floats are very hard to find these days. It is said that floats can be out in the ocean for years before coming to shore. We have six floats so far.

Island Houses

Houses on the north end of island. The second house has curved walls. Both look abandoned.

Cape Santa Maria

Nice resort, named after one of Columbus' ships. Had a yummy lunch here.

Sheep and Goats

North end of island, the goat on the wall is a show off.

Not stoppin'

Until there are no shells, driftwood or debris left on the beach. I made the below frame from cardboard covered with fabric from the beach and added various found objects. The Long Island map was created by Fay Ritchie.

Eggplant

Two eggplants are growing, will be a miracle if they survive the wind storm. The pretty lavender flower is an eggplant bloom. If the eggplants make it I am having a big moussaka party!!

Windy Day Art

Painted a couple of conch shells, then moved on to sand dollars and rocks

Glass Net Floats

Found three of these on one adventure - they may be quite old. Fishermen used them to weight their nets.
