Deals Beach Bungalow

Sunset viewing, some claim to have seen the green flash, not sure about that. Once Smackey and the gang showed up, we went on to serious dancing, even had a conga line. Sharie took the photos, she really cut up a rug dancing that night.

Waitin' on dee plane

Andi's plane back to the USA was only an hour late, we will miss our Andi. Bahamasair sent a smaller plane since there weren't many passengers. Better that then canceling the whole flight. Kind of funny when we saw the baggage handler running toward the moving airplane with a suitcase hoisted over her head
motioning for the pilot to stop for the forgotten bag.

Wahoo Gang

Atil pole dancing with the fish. A barracuda was biting Chris in the rear, gotta watch them.
Luke, Atil, Terry, Scott, Chris & Rick

Wahoo At Clarence Town

Spectators checking out the catch and watching the shark show. Troy kept an eye on the sharks. The children had a great time watching their daddy in action.
Luke and Scott cleaned the fish at lightning speed, threw the leftovers to the sharks, nothing was wasted.

Shark Feeding Frenzy

The sharks hung around looking for handouts, after each fish was cleaned, the carcass was thrown into the water. The sharks feasted on wahoo. A huge lemon shark was among the diners.

Janelle, Terry Snorkel Extradonaire

They lead the party at the extreme snorkel dive, set a record.

Grotto Snorkel

Red shrimp, blind fish and other interesting flora and fauna. The water was really cold, took your breath away when you jumped in. The place is creepy and beautiful, all at the same time. Cathy, Rick, Sharie, James, Andi, Chris and moi. After this we went on to Guana Key.

Going in the Grotto

We took the plunge into the deep, dark depth of the cave. There were scary bones in the bottom, looked like an evil devil.....was a goat with little horns. Only the women went in, guys were too wimpy. Andi, Sharie and me.

Missouri & Arizona Refugees

Made it out just before freezing to death. Took a stroll on the beach, not too many new items. Andi found a small beach ball, had to leave it behind.
Cathy, Rick, Terry & Janelle, just off the Pineapple Airplane.

Star Fruit and Cats at Harbour Breeze Villas

Ilone had us over to view the underwater shots. I brought a star fruit, local produce. Must be one of the prettiest fruits I've seen. Outside there was a gang of cats watching us, number of cats ranging from 9 to 15! They received a few goodies from us.

Blue Hole Underwater Models

Still waiting on the under water shots, but here is the cast: Emily, Andi, Katie, April and Shiv. Ilone is the photographer, she goes by Anastasia by the Sea, her middle name is Anastasia.

Andi Arrives and on to Turnbull

Andi flew in on Saturday, June 11, 2014. Next morning Atil came by to organize a fish spearing party, we took off around 45 minutes later. People in party: Atil, Troy, Scooter, Godfrey, his son Spencer (head boy at Mangrove Bush Primary), Andi, Chris and me. We launched at Turnbull, headed out around 2 miles from shore. Atil had all the reefs marked on his GPS. When they reached a reef the driver would stop the boat, all divers would jump in and search for fish and lobsters. Godfrey speared two lobsters right away. Amazing how they poke their heads into the holes to search, hoping they don't spot an eel instead of lobster. This stopping and diving went on for the next five hours. Atil and Godfrey brought in tons of great fish, snappers, hog fish and others. They speared so many The cooler lid wouldn't go down. We saw quite a few sharks which made us exit the water quickly. I considered it a victory just to get back into the boat with no assistance. The next morning everyone had aching arms from hauling themselves into the boat, must have gotten in and out over 20 times during the trip. Everything in the boat was soaked with water and blood from all the action. Atil passed out the fish when we got to shore, even though the rest of us didn't spear any! Nobody took a camera, why we only have photos taken at home before cleaning the fish. Chris started to fillet the fish, got halfway through with the first one and the electricity went out. Have to pick it up today.

Millers - Heading Out

Once again the party went to different places, some off to snorkel, me and James along the beach. Chris back in the bush. Was a really nice day, not too hot.
