Explorers

Ready to take on the jungle. Mostly ended up with cuts and bruises, no great finds.....oh well, maybe another day. Ruins near Galloway.

Feasting on Crab & Lobster

Sharie and James provided a huge amount of Stone and Spider Crab plus lobster. What a feast and the setting was breath taking, We were all nervous about falling in the Blue Hole since we were on a steep cliff that dropped down into the hole.

Fireplace - Near Galloway Landing

There were several structures at the site, Nick thought they probably dated to the late 1700's, very over grown.

Resting - Near Galloway

We stopped to hydrate and eat. It was a brutal and tough way through the bush. It felt like miles, but probably wasn't all that far.

Tree Climbing

Nick scrambled up several trees to figure out which direction we should go on our big adventure.

New Hat Time

Think we need To take up a collection to replace Jame's cap! Beautiful bougainvillea at Nick's place, sheep in the background.

Coins

Large gold coin 1733, Portugal, Bronze French Ducat coin. Other two gold coins were Portuguese and Spanish. Also an English pense. This got us all pumped up to go treasure hunting. Apparently hurricanes can blow in the remains of sunken treasure right to the shore. Just have to keep your eyes open.

All Kinds of Goodies

What an amazing assortment of interesting objects in this collection, we al learned a lot.

Artifacts at Nicks

We started our adventure out by looking over Nick's collection.
