Sailing Out of Clarence Town
Tried our hand at sailing on Brian's 32' sail boat. Chris caught on quick, I was a bit woozy. Was a beautiful day for the open seas.

Rasta Barbie Loses Both Legs in Shark Attack
Undaunted by the horrific accident, Barbie plans on being a spokesperson for shark awareness. She believes she will be able to make a difference for others unaware of the rising shark issues that are facing serious beach goers. Barbie was rescued by a fisherman, on the beach in the background of her photo.

Seaside Village -
Kenny's animals, osprey, Missy the goat, numerous cats, Rover the yellow Lab is hidden somewhere. The osprey sits in a tree and squawks until Kenny gives it a fish.
Water - Wow!
They started digging with the back hoe around 8:15 Tuesday morning and before noon we officially had city water. Right now it smells like the glue they for used for the pipe connections, but it will fade soon.
We still have cistern water that we can switch over to if needed.
I kept the little guy entertained while his father was working, put him in a barrel.

13 years at Sea on Lady J
Talked with these people who have been boating for the last 13 years, spent 5 years in Peru. Sounds like an interesting life. They came through the Panama Canal and stopped at Jamaica before coming to Long Island.
Hello Kitty - Lost On Beach
Believe she is a knock off, but lovable just the same. She needs a serious face lift, has horrible gash. Found her on the never-ending beach near Roses.

The Turtle Cove Bay Collection
The enormous glass ball next to the lamp must have come all the way from the orient. Chris found it on the Turtle Cove beach.
New seat covers - yippeeeeeee! Marcia picked out the fabric at a Salt Lake store, quite an improvement over the mauve.

Junkanoo
Found the mask at the junk yard, the type worn for Junkanoo, a celebration similar to Carnival. Other art work my own creations.

Diamond Salt Bridge washout - SHARK!!
Went to check out the bridge to Diamond Salt - gone. Well that means we can only get there by way of Queen's Highway. Diamond Salt had a huge operation on Long Island quite a while back. They pulled out around 20 years ago, leaving beautiful, creepy, decadent homes and all kinds of operations buildings, equipment dumps, docks, salt ponds and an air strip. Great adventure to rummage through the ruins.
While standing on the remains of the old bridge Chris spotted a shark, most likely a Lemon Shark around 7 feet long. And to think we have been all over this area wading, snorkeling etc.....my photo isn't that great, but you can make him out. We saw several smaller sharks swim by, but not the big guy.

Surf's Up -
Has been really rough, storms east of here. Two women were knocked off the Glass window bridge in Eleuthera by the wind, fell on rocks.
Photo is Turtle Cove Bay behind our house. Hurricane Irene carved out at least five feet, which created a huge drop-off to our path. I have already fixed it!!

Garden - Phase 1
Started digging November 6, 2011. I must have sweated 5 gallons. The worst part was pulling out the grass. Took two days for the digging and grass removal.
An osprey hung out all day perched on a century plant, lazy thing.

Garden - Phase 2
On the third day, she planted, Herbs, okra, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, spinach, arugula and beans.
If all goes well the crops will be ready mid January 2012.
I used the casuarina sticks to mark the rows.
