We go back to college days, roommates. Karli, Marcia, Cheryl - we are all close to the Denver area. We had mini-reunion at Marcia's place.

Thank you guys for a fun evening. We are headed to Casper Wy this evening. Going to check out the town tomorrow, then head to Yellowstone.

Home Improvements in Rollinsville

Andi sits at her command post, directing the necessary repairs and improvements for her rustic Rolly Retreat. It is not an easy job! Jeff finishes off some trim board, lays a bamboo floor in the bathroom, and for his next act, stay tuned.

90th Birthday - yeah LaVerne!!

My mom celebrated her birthday - June 23, with a big blast at Janelle & Terry's wilderness retreat. There were outdoor games, trivia contest, lots of chatter, terrific food, dog fun, presents, sangria and generally speaking a memorable time. The weather held off until we managed to get mom back to her place, then it cut loose with tons of rain, thunder and lightning.

Grocery Shopping in Nederland Colorado

This is our main grocery store. I will no longer complain about prices in the Bahamas. Have to air some things are cheaper here.

Goshawk - On Vera Marie Lane

Marty Stauffer of Wild America would be proud of me. While hiking on the road I spied what I thought to be a poor injured bird, wrong. Turned out to be a Goshawk with a rabbit around twice its size. The bird was afraid I was going to take its prize and attempted to fly away, but that didn't work, far too heavy to lift. So the Goshawk drug the rabbit from the road into the forest. I hung around for a while, taking a few million pictures, none very good. From what I read I am lucky the bird didn't attack me!
