Smokejumpers - 1940

Parachute Project at Winthrop Washington, first jump in 1940. Quite an outfit, big helmut, extreme boots, heavy canvas jumpsuit and a pack. A movie was made, starring Richard Widmark.
Trying to kill time while we have a couple of things fixed on our 4runner, this is a great museum.
