Florida Bay Flamingoes

Thursday, April 3
After Sedie dropped us off at our home for the next week, we climbed out of our traveling clothes into our island expedition garb. We loaded into Sedie's truck and headed to Florida Bay. Considering we had virtually no sleep on the boat I thought we did fairly well. We made it as far as the Hawk's Nest. Believe James found a glass ball.
The next day we went back and blew past the Hawk's Nest to new terrain, came upon a flock of flamingoes. There were around 15 of them, stunning. Better pix to come. The little specs in the sky are flamingoes.
The others found around 5 glass balls. I found a really neat old gin bottle right in the mangroves at the edge of the salt pans. It was a long day of hiking.
