Caught the bus in Cuenca to Alausi, home of the famous "Nariz del Diablo" train. We had asked the bus driver to drop us off in Alausi, thinking it would be a regular bus stop. We were shocked when he motioned us to get off the bus (it was very dark) in what looked like the middle of no where. We got off and tried to ask where we were supposed to go. He pointed to a rock wall that turned out to have a staircase going down the side of a cliff. Sure enough it worked out just fine. Found the Hostal Europa, checked in all before 9PM.
