Lost City of Perdida

It's a six day trek to this place, we didn't do it! Ciudad Perdida is one of the largest pre-Colombian towns discovered in the Americas. The Spaniards wiped out the Tayronas, their settlements disappeared without a trace under lush vegetation. It was re-discovered by treasure hunters in 1975. The round stone structures served as foundations for the grass houses. Many of the items found here are in the Santa Marta Gold Museum.
Perdida is about 40K southeast of Santa Marta, only reached by foot.
