Two planes later on Turkish Airlines and we made it to Goreme, home of the Smurfs. Getting up early takes its toll on me. We flew from Trabzon to Istanbul, layover then on to Nevishir, then a bus ride to here. Ten minutes down the road on the bus and the driver turned around and went back to the airport for some forgotten passengers. It was quite awhile before we arrived here. Then a crazy twisty cobblestone path trying to find the "Cave Hotels" of each passenger. I have to applaud the driver navigating the extreme narrow, steep paths. He had to back down several times. Eventually we made it to our hotel, Elif Star Cave Hotel.
