Almost to Uzungol

When we looked down from our side of the gorge and saw a town we were greatly relieved thinking we had arrived at civilization, wrong again. There was a zig zag dirt road going up the side of a cliff with buildings clinging into the cliff. It was a miracle we could even navigate our way through the maze of crazy roads. For a short length there was a cobblestone road, ramshackle houses and businesses built right on the road. Once we got out of town the cobblestones disappeared again, back to dirt. Came to sections of a huge project with some paved sections and huge pipelines going in. Once we approached the turnoff for Uzungol the road turned into a beautiful paved highway. Couldn't believe what we went through, should have listened to Ali in Macke who tried to explain this in Turkish.
You can see some of the switchbacks we went down, even saw snow.
