The Blue Mosque is more modern tha Aya Sofya, 1603 and is still used for prayer. They have a prayer entrance and a visitors entrance. If you didn't bring the right clothes they have them right there for you. They also provide plastic bags for your shoes, can't wear shoes in mosque.
