Gutsy Jeanie boarded the sinking Miss Shirley boat, not once but twice. I felt like a whimp just gawking at the entire spectacle. Well really someone had to stay back and take photos, and also report any pirates that may have shown up. We reviewed some of Miss Shirley's documentation in the Fedex folder. The boat came from Georgia USA, last purchase price $7,000. A local person told us he entertained the six crew members at his home for a couple of weeks after the boat sank. Apparently the men were from Abaco on their way to Haiti with a shipload of mattresses and clothing. The boat sprung a leak and sank. The Coast Guard tried to help them out but the pumps couldn't work fast enough. Good thing they sank by the shore, there was only one small raft that could only hold one person.
