SOS - can never get enough pix of these things. The steps/path leading up here are quite lengthy. In some places large rocks protrude on the path and have been polished and smoothed out over the years. It must have been an enormous effort to build on this rock considering the size and how uneven everything is. They would have to flatten out huge areas and drag all the marble and other rock up here.
