Caves Around Acropolis

Walking around here gave us an idea of the work involved supporting the outer edge of the Acropolis. There were many places where rocks were cemented in place to fill in the gaps, for additional support.
Zeus hurling a thunder bolt, pretty scary. There were many caves honoring various gods and goddesses.
