The wall with the wooden steps is similar to a concrete pool used for stomping grapes. Apparently it was very popular for everyone to grow their own grapes and make wine. Grape stomping was mostly done by the men. Up to 30 guys would get in that pool and stomp. There's a bucket under the spout that comes out of the pool.
